WHAT IS PLASMA FIBROBLAST?
The Plexr Plus by GMV is a revolutionary treatment for both face and body rejuvenation. Plasma Fibroblast is considered a "soft-surgery" technique, where no surgical instruments such as scalpels are used. It is a hand held device supporting a single-patient use, sterile needle. When the needle is placed over the skin it creates a plasma charge by utilising the voltage in the air between the needle tip and the skin.
Plasma is the fourth state of matter and it is constituted by negatively charged electrons and positively charged ions with an overall neutral net charge. It can be created when a difference in voltage matches the dielectric breakdown of the gas included into the field. When external energy can split the molecules of the gas into positive and negative parts, we reach plasma.
Plasma treatments utilise a plasma flash (small electrical charge) to create a radius of microplasma that delivers energy to the superficial skin cells, transitioning the targeted treatment area from a solid to a gas state without damaging surrounding tissue (a process known as sublimation).
Younger clients, normally turned away by plastic surgeons, and patients with health problems too risky for surgical procedures, may be treated safely with this plasma device. In a Plasma treatment there is no damage to the skin but only a superficial thermal skin reaction. With proper treatment technique, no scars are created and the tightening is long-lasting.
The skin treated with the plasma device immediately exhibits a “shrinking” effect, however continued improvement is observed over the next 6-8 weeks. The skin heals very quickly due to a small area treated and the intact skin around the treatment site.
Fibroblasts are stimulated to create new collagen fibres and an ‘over- tightening’ is not possible with this treatment.
Plasma treatment is virtually painless and a tightening effect can be seen immediately after treatment. There will be mild swelling of the treated area for a few days and small Plasma Dots will form, these remain for about 7-10 days and then will naturally shed leaving fresh skin behind.
